Welcome to Svenska med baby!

We believe in a society which is open and accessible for everyone, where families of different cultural backgrounds can meet and exchange their experiences and knowledge. We want those who are new to Sweden to feel welcome to their new home where they can feel included and appreciated as well as Swedes to take part of this cultural and unique meeting place.

Our Activities

Open Groups for Parents

Svenska med baby’s core activities are our open groups for parents on parental leave, where parents with babies (0-2 y/o) from every nationality, culture and background are welcome to join. It is free of charge and you don not need to pre-register.

Activities with Baby

A few times per semester, we arrange special activities called “activity with baby”, for our participants. There are an array of different activities such as outings, study visits, visits to the theatre and much more. If you wish to join you will need an invite, usually received at the open groups for parents or at our Facebook.

Family-Time Saturdays

These popular meet-ups are for the entire family. This is a perfect opportunity for you to meet families from all over Stockholm, at no cost! For these events you don’t have to pre-register.

What is Svenska med baby?

Svenska med baby’s goal and vision is to create a welcoming meeting place for parents and children from different neighbourhoods and from cultures all over the world. With their children as the common denominator, through our open parent groups and activities we aim to bring together new and established Swedes for them to learn from each other’s unique perspective and grow together.
