Welcome to Svenska med baby!

We believe in a society which is open and accessible for everyone, where families of different cultural backgrounds can meet and exchange their experiences and knowledge. We want those who are new to Sweden to feel welcome to their new home where they can feel included and appreciated as well as Swedes to take part of this cultural and unique meeting place.

Our Activities

Our open groups for parents will start again this fall. We have summer meetings for parents and their children in Norrköping and Stockholm.

We follow the recommendations of Folkhälsomyndigheten (The Public Health Agency of Sweden), and adapt accordingly.

Open Groups for Parents – Outdoors

Svenska med baby’s core activities are our open groups for parents on parental leave, where parents with babies (0-2 y/o) from every nationality, culture and background are welcome to join. During the prevailing situation with COVID-19 we have moved our groups outdoors in the fresh air! We meet in small groups, keep distance to each other and if you feel sick or show symptoms like runny nose, cough or fever you are welcome to join after having two symptom free days. Please join our local groups on Facebook for more information. It is free of charge and you don not need to pre-register.

Digital groups for parents

Not all parents and children have the opportunity to meet physically during the prevailing situation, but it is important to continue to meet and counter isolation, therefore we will have digital groups for parents throughout the spring. A new semester will start this fall.
